A request for a new payment before existing funds can be released is a significant warning sign, particularly when the requested amount grows after each payment. It may be labelled a tax, liquidity deposit, compliance charge, wallet activation or insurance. The label alone does not establish a valid obligation.
Ask who is charging the amount, where the obligation is documented and why the proposed recipient differs from the provider you contracted with. Verify any claimed tax or regulatory requirement through an independently located official source. Do not use only the phone number or link included in the demand.
Separate a fee disclosed in an existing agreement from a new demand made under pressure. This distinction does not prove either is legitimate, but helps you identify what needs checking. Threats that the entire balance will disappear overnight are a reason to stop and independently assess the claim.
Preserve the demand, destination account or wallet address, payment instructions and related messages. If you have already paid, tell your payment provider accurately what happened. Do not keep paying to justify earlier payments. RECOVANT cannot unlock a withdrawal or certify that a demanded payment is safe.
